Color Contacts, Contact Lenses, Glasses or Eye Laser Surgery?

One of the main issue for people nowadays is to decide whether to stick with glasses or change to contact lenses, colored contacts or even practice eye laser surgery. So what should you do?

Well in my opinion, the easiest and cheapest is staying with glasses. They are easy to use, and less annoying to manipulate than contact lenses. They also give you sometimes a better vision than with contact lenses or even eye laser surgery.

Nevertheless if you practice sport, or really feel that your glasses are total nucance or that you brake or loose them all the time, then maybe you should try contact lenses. You will be able to do sport without your glasses falling, but your look will also be nicer. As a consequence you might feel better and more joyfull. If you want to add a bit of excentricity, you can even use colored contact lenses which will allow you to change the color of your eyes and therefore your overall appearance. Yes colored contacts can be used as a fashion tool to enhance your look and give it a real feeling and meaning.

Unfortunately contact lenses and color contacts can be annoying for you if you dont like at all spending time putting them on, making sure they are clean or if you are someone that tends to forget to put them on or take them off. Therefore eye laser surgery could be a good alternative solution. Even though this is a more expensive change, you will be able in most cases to get a 10/10 view, and no more hassle about glasses or contact lenses.

So basically its up to you to see what you want depending on how you are and what you can afford. Do not hesitate to ask me any questions. I personnaly prefere glasses even though color contacts can be occasionaly cool to use!

Colored Contact Lenses for Light Eyes

Today i will be giving my opinion about which colored contacts are suited for light colored eyes. Please bear in mind that this is my own opinion, and that many factors need to be taken into consideration when choosing your color, such as you skin tan, hair color, and original eye color.

If you have light colored eyes, it is generally recommended to use either opaque or enhancer color contacts. Opaque colored contact lenses will simply change your eye color, where as enhancer ones will give a more unpredictable and special effect to your eyes (can either be good or bad, it really depends). So which brand and which model would i recommend?

The first model i would recommend is Freshlook Dimensions (see picture below) as they add considerable depth to your eye color but also make them look larger and nicer. Please note that these are monthly disposable color contacts.

Freshlook DimensionsIf you are willing to give a more flashy and sparkly effect to your eyes then go and have a look at Acuvue 2 Enhancers or Freshlook Radiance color contacts which totally change your eye making it prettier thanks to a bright and sparkly effect.

Colored Contact Lenses

Today, thanks to technology, different types of colored contact lenses exist. The most frequent are visibility tints, opaque color contacts, enhancement tints, and light filtering tints. Colored contacts are available either in plano (which means without any vision correction) or with the right vision correction for your eyes (long/short sighted, astimagtism...).

Visibility tint contact lenses are to be used to simply slightly change your eye color. In fact it only gives a slight tint to it, so the change is rather light. These are often lenses with a light blue or green tint added to them.

The second type of colored contacts is enhancement ones. These are solid contact lenses (translucent) which give a stronger and darker tint than the visibility ones. The goal of these colored contacts is to enhance the color of your eye. If you have light colored eyes then these will be the ones you will surely want to purchase!

Opaque tint color contacts are used to completely change the color of your eye. They are made of solid color in order to change drastricly your eye color. These are often used by people with dark eyes, as it is more difficult to change their eye color.

You do not hear very often about light-filtering colored contacts, because these are mainly used by sports men. These contact lenses have been designed for sport, so that certain colors are filtered to optimize the players performance (yellow for the tennis ball for example).

Do now its up to you to see which ones are suited for you. I think with what i have written you should know what type of color contacts you need to buy!

Colored Contacts Trial Pair

As color contact lenses are not always cheap, you are probably wondering whether you can have the colored contacts trial pair and where you can find it. Trial colored contacts can be found in different places as described below.

1) Your Doctor: The first place where you can find them is at your doctor's office. He will do a medical exam to see which ones are suited for you and will give you a free trial of a well known brand. They give this you as a free test for being one of their patients.

2) Freshlook Website: Normally, unless they change this, you should be able to get a trial pair through Freshlook's website. Just look on their website and you will probably find a link saying "try for free" or something similar. They will then ask which colored contact model and color you want, give them your email and they will send you a certificate that you must take to your eye care professional who will give you the colored contacts trial pair.

3) Acuvue Website: If you prefere Acuvue, you can also do the same thing on their website. They will also send you a certificate after you have completed a questionnaire. Just bring it to your eye specialist and you will have your free trial pair.

All in all, as you have seen it i possible to get a trial pair of color contacts from the best brands, but you always need to go and see you eye specialist. This is simply due to the fact that you need someone to measure your eye, so that they give you a contact lense which adapted to your eyes!

Color Contacts without Prescriptions

If you are reading this article then i guess you are probably wondering whether it is possible to purchase color contacts without any medical prescription. Well yes it is but it is not at all recommended!

The main reason why you should not purchase color contacts without prescription is that a contact lense should have a size which is proper to your eye. By this we mean it needs to fit your eye in size. An incorrect size would not only be uncomfortable for your eye but it could also damage it, and could cut you on the edge and cause a serious eye infection and vision issue. Furthermore if you do not choose the correct lense to correct your sight, then you may have head aches and other uncomfortable symptoms.

The second reason why you should not buy non prescription color contacts, is that organisations or shops selling these lenses are probably not very serious as it can be dangerous for the client (you and your eye). These shops simply want to get money, and find a way to attract you, but as a consequence they will probably not recommend you any good products as a specialist would always ask for a mdeical prescription!

As a conclusion, i can simply advise not to buy color contacts without a prescription. A medical advice is always preferable for your own health! If ever you were to buy some without a prescription then only use the contact lenses for a short period as there will be less chances that it will damage your eyes.
